In Hindu philosophy, human pursuits are broken up into four categories. A person can lead a balanced and fulfilling life by following each of these     pursuits simultaneously. The pursuit of any one of the four categories should not violate the pursuit of any of the others.

Excessive pursuit for wealth in greed, sacrificing a sense of duty towards family or society can be considered violation.

Providing enough time to family (kama) in pursuit of wealth (artha), contributing to society both in terms of time and money (dharma through sewa), while pursuing a spiritual path of inclination, such as reading bhagavad gita or spending an hour every week at Mandir (for moksha) would be balancing all four pursuits.
